This is some of my previous work, it is a painting created on a recycled bag that illustrates a man holding a shopping bag and throwing away others. The idea was to show how wasteful we are with plastic bags and to use primarily recycled materials.
Materials used: Large recycled paper bag, white emulsion, newspaper, graph paper, fine liner pen, gauche, PVA glue, brown gum paper, recylced paper.
This is one of my favourite paintings and I was happy to use mixed media, however the finished piece was stuck down on A1 paper and this may have not been the best option becuase the paper crinkled as it dried, instead maybe I should have thought about applying it to a wall or a canvas.
How can I apply it to this project? well I could make the most of recycled materials or think about this as an approach to creating murals or bigger pieces of work.
