A self motivated piece of installation art which I created to solve the problem of (in my opinion) ugly type on the floor of our exhibition space. The floor was covered in black and white text that read something cheesy like "design gives a voice to that which has not already been spoken" and "somewhere there is a key to a box, its about finding that box and the key to opening it". I had a discussion with my group and we decided it had to go.
I used black, grey and white duck tape and a scalpel. First I covered up the text changing the cover randomly then created patterns coming off of the bigger patterns. It was completely improvised and took quite some time to create. Very please with the outcome!
