The band lazy lights wanted me to create the artwork and sleeve for their first ep "A Belated View" I was really excited about this and wanted to create something quite unique, something that was more than just a CD cover and more like a artifact, as the market for buying Cd's recently has decreased in buying the actual CD but increased for downloading them.
I designed and made sleeves for the CD, then another sleeve for that sleeve to go into. I also designed and printed a poster to go inside of the overall sleeve. I really liked the final outcome but it was quite hard to mass produce the whole product as there was lot of time involved in making each piece of the CD. In retrospect I would have made the design slightly simpler, still keeping with a card sleeve but maybe not the box that each sleeve goes into. As another part to this project i created badge sets, which used the designs that I used for the sleeves.
