I decided to create 2 versions of my dissertation to illustrate the question in which I based my research. I created a version which was bound by the rules outlined in the submission and a version which was designed and made using handcrafted techniques and computer aided design tools. The image above shows the latter in which I created 2 small booklets which fitted into a sleeve and were bound using needle and thread.
The key reason as to why most people prefer hand crafted design is the prescence of the hand in the work, it shows individuality and for most with no knowledge of computer software is easier to connect with on a personal level. This was shown in my handcrafted version of my dissertation (Version 2)
