For part of my final major project I decided to try and represent a few of my favorite songs in a graphical form. I wanted to have a start and a finish to these pieces and hopefully represent the beat and mood of all the parts in the songs. I started them by doing very abstract sketches of shapes and lines which represented the mood and tempo of the songs. I then brought these sketches into the computer and experimented with them using an assortment of different effects. Finally I added words if there were any to the visual, and also titles of the songs and in some cases the lenght of time the visual represented.
I printed these A1 for my exhibition as I thought they were strong pieces which showed my style of design quite clearly. I have also experimented screen printing certain visuals with 9 colour prints, these take some time but work really well. I that these prints are the sort of thing that we could possibly sell in our collectives shop.
