Daniel Eatock says his objective 'is to go beyond the surface, presenting dematerialised concepts and ideas within the context of art and graphic design.' He is certianly doing this with some very exciting work.
This objective of Eatock is something that i think as a collective we need to consider. What is our mission statement. What do want to acheive out of the brief and what do we need to acheive as these two things are different. I feel that this is a good statement to start with and i feel that his work reflects his statement. It is engaging and has purpose, and as a collective it is something we might be asked frequently. Why? what is the purpose? If we have a solid objective it should answer any questions and support any work we undertake.
