Luke Best designed these customised shoes for touring exhibition curated by lazy oaf, the design is based on school gym floor patterns.
Luke Best work lends itself slightly more to illustration rather than my style as a graphic artist, however what is relevant to me firstly is the way that he has designed his website as i feel that this sort of direction i may take my website which needs to be developed in December. it is clear, simple and the emphasis is on the content. Which when you work in print is the important factor. Secondly, the image i have diplayed is similar to a project i undertook during PCADs summer show 2008. I asked people to illustrate a poster that would then be turned into a personalized shoe, with a very similar aesthetic to Lukes shoe. To see the work i am talking about please click here!
