I experimented with Spirograph like patterns when creating artwork for the band lazy lights. I created these patterns by drawing shapes in illustrator and then copying and pasting the shape whilst reducing the size by the same increments each time, I then would go through some of the shape lines i had created and rotated them by the same increments each time. I think these create really eye pleasing shape.
I really liked some of the designs that I had produced for the lazy lights band and I thought that if I could I would try to screen print them and create a set of prints that I could possibly sell. This was harder than I imagined as each line was very thin and printing hem was really hard. I eventually made a few prints which were successful and I really liked them, I also experimented with these patterns on the lazer cutter burning the pattern into different papers, I liked this but I wanted to create a design with different colours like the screen print.
