For this typeface I wanted to experiment with using geometric shapes and illustrator effects. Whilst trying to push the boundaries of how I see letter shapes.
Althought this typeface isnt very ledgiable it could be used in various design senarios to gain the viewers attention and to keep the atention on the design for a long period of time. Because the typefaces unusual and almost unrecognisable form views would be attracted as it is something differnet to what they predominalty see.
This helps me understand why modernist values and styles are rejected in some of the more experimental contempoary typefaces. Designers are bored of proevious typefaces and want to come up with something new. The viewer will respond by being drawn to the unfamiliar. This however would only work for design problems in whihc the message in the type is not a nessity to understand, but more decorate.
